Philips and Sembly AI launch smart audio recorders

Philips Speech and Sembly AI have launched new audio recorders with built-in AI-powered meeting technology.

Smart audio recorders enable automatic transcription of recordings, summaries, action lists, and observations.

Leading voice technology innovator Philips Speech by Speech Processing Solutions has partnered with voice and conversation analytics company Sembly AI to add a total of three new products to its audio recorder portfolio.

Dr. Thomas Brauner, CEO Speech Processing Solutionspoints out some of the benefits of using the latest audio recorders: “We are pleased to announce that our partnership with Sembly AI opens up new market opportunities by combining the best of both worlds.

“With state-of-the-art audio recorders paired with an AI conferencing assistant, we can offer automatic transcriptions, summaries, and action lists for every recording, whether it’s a lecture or a meeting.

“Our innovative solutions enable busy professionals to save time and conduct meetings more efficiently than ever before.”

Built-in AI meeting technology

According to a Philips press release, the Philips VoiceTracer DVT4115 and DVT6115 are designed with students in mind.

These include 3MIC systems that enable long-distance audio recording, which Sembly technology can then transcribe and summarize.

The Philips VoiceTracer DVT8115 features a 360-degree microphone that Philips says is ideal for recording meeting minutes, while Sembly’s “easy share” feature allows for quick sharing of audio and accompanying action steps.

Sembly AI was founded in 2019 and has since expanded to include a wide range of features such as automatic transcription, meeting notes, summaries, and action points.

Now, Sembly AI can deliver professional insights using artificial intelligence (AI) during meetings and conversations, improving collaboration and facilitating decision-making.

Gil Makleff, CEO and Co-Founder of Sembly AI, also outlined some of the benefits customers can expect: “Our latest AI technology integrates seamlessly with Philips products, adding value whether customers are in the office or on the go.

“Sembly AI now offers much more than just meeting minutes, and we are fully committed to offering new AI services in the coming weeks and months.

“We are proud to partner with Philips to enhance the customer experience, enable users to get the most out of their audio experiences and maximize productivity.”

All new devices are compatible with Sembly AI software and have been added to the Philips audio recorder and conference microphone range.

Philips has been included in this year’s UC Today Market Map of Top Collaborative Display Vendors. The company’s lineup includes a variety of screen sizes and styles to choose from for interactive signage, collaboration, and more.
