‘Current government policies remain in effect without exception’: ANC explains GNU policies

The ANC has taken action to clarify a “misinterpretation” of the political programme of the Government of National Unity (GNU) that was the cause of much misunderstanding during the negotiations.

ANC Secretary-General Fikile Mbalula said in a statement on Thursday that he had noticed a growing narrative surrounding the GNU party he leads.

“This appears to be due to statements by particular political parties, both within and outside GNU, and to ignorance of the established GNU principles.
