Tinubu appoints CrediCorp board members

President Bola Tinubu has appointed members of the board of the Nigerian Consumer Credit Corporation (CREDICORP).

Ajuri Ngelale, Adviser to the President on Media and Publicity, announced the appointments in a statement on Wednesday.

He added that the move was aimed at accelerating the process of providing Nigerians with access to consumer credit.

According to Ngelale, the new board members are: Aderemi Abdul, Chairman of the Board (independent non-executive director); Uzoma Nwagba, Managing Director and CEO; and Aisha Abdullahi, Executive Director (Credit, Risk and Portfolio)/CRO.

“The others are: Olanike Kolawole – Executive Director (Operations)/COO, Armstrong Ume Takang – Non-Executive Director (nominated by MOFI), Peter Iwegbu – Non-Executive Director (nominated by NIMC), Mohammed Nasiru Abbas – Non-Executive Director (nominated by FMITI), Marvin Nadah – Non-Executive Director (nominated by FCCPC) and FMF Representative – Non-Executive Director (FMF),” Ngelale said.

The presidential aide said Tinubu expects the new board members to bring their “vast experience, competence and commitment” to bear in their roles to achieve CREDICORP’s mission of accelerating access to consumer credit for millions of Nigerians.

April 4th president Uzoma Nwagba appointed as Managing Director (MD) and Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of CREDICORP.
