Government asks NRIs to raise awareness about central systems: Sources

Mizoram Governor Hari Babu Kambhampati on Thursday asked the Press Information Bureau (PIB), a central agency, to disseminate information on the government’s policies, said sources in Raj Bhavan.

This will help increase enrolment under various centrally sponsored schemes, the governor told PIB chief executive officer (north-east zone) K Satish Nambudiripad during a meeting at Raj Bhavan.

The governor informed the visiting director general of PIB that stakeholders and eligible beneficiaries are deprived of many benefits and financial support due to lack of awareness, sources said.

Nambudiripad was accompanied to the meeting by DDK (News) Director Nampibou Marinmai.
