Del Monte Foods Appoints Abhinav Kapoor as Chief Executive Officer

Packaged foods company Del Monte Foods on Thursday announced that Abhinav Kapoor has been appointed as its chief executive officer, effective immediately.

He will head Del Monte Foods’ senior management team and be responsible for the company’s long-term strategy, according to a statement from the company, which is a joint venture between Bharti Enterprises and Del Monte Pacific.

Kapoor has more than two decades of experience in sales and distribution in the consumer goods and FMCG sectors, including previously serving as vice president of sales for luggage and travel accessories maker VIP Industries.

He also served as Business Director, Food and Snacks, at Cavinkare and held key positions at Britannia Industries, Mondelez and Marico.
