Nike Adapt Shoes and App Discontinued

If you own a pair or two from the Nike Adapt line, don’t delete the Adapt app just yet. Nike will remove the app from the Apple and Android app stores on August 6, 2024. Those who already have the Adapt app will still be able to use it.

According to Nike, users “will not be able to transfer the app to a new device, and future iOS updates may limit or discontinue functionality, or even completely remove the app from your device.”

Additionally, when Adapt App is retired, people who have selected a specific color in the app will still be able to keep it. People who do not have the app when it is retired will only be able to access the default color.

All things considered, there’s not much of a change for those who wear a pair of Nike Adapts. According to the Beaverton-based shoe company, it’s just a matter of handcrafting the feature.

For Nike, the move is in line with the discontinuation of its Adapt shoe, likely a strategic move by the Swoosh as it rebounds from a weak fiscal quarter.

In other news, Palace and Nike are apparently teaming up. Alternatively, you can also head over to the SNKRDUNK app via the banner below and browse the latest and greatest sneakers, streetwear, and TCG.
