KATHMANDU: After nearly two hours of talks with Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal ‘Prachanda’, the likelihood of the Rastriya Swatantra Party (RSP) quitting the government immediately has diminished.

The RSP leader, who participated in the meeting, stated that at present there are no plans for the ministers to resign.

During the meeting with RSP leaders, Prime Minister Dahal expressed his willingness to address the issues raised in Parliament.

The departure of the CPN-UML from the government has reportedly intensified discussions between the Maoist core of the ruling coalition and senior RSP figures, thereby reducing the immediate chances of the RSP leaving the government.

The meeting was attended by RSP leaders Rabi Lamichhane, Swarnim Wagle, DP Aryal, Santosh Pariyar and other key leaders.
