Yeida: YEIDA to build flat factories for medical devices and garments | Noida News

Noida: Two flat factories, each measuring 5 acres, will be built near the Yamuna Expressway in Sectors 28 and 29, primarily to cater to the medical devices and apparel sectors. The project is estimated to cost Rs 30 crore. Each factory will have 240 units ranging from 60 sq m to 120 sq m. A flat factory building is an industrial building designed to house multiple businesses requiring minimum space and capital. The Yamuna Expressway Industrial Development Authority (YEIDA) has already set up a Medical Device Park in Sector 28 and an Apparel Park in Sector 29. These factory complexes will provide integrated infrastructure for setting up subsidiaries for local large and medium enterprises as well as MSME units in the area. Officials said these factories will provide an opportunity for small businesses, especially startups, to set up their businesses with minimum capital. The complexes will also provide basic amenities like an exhibition centre, a cafeteria, retail shops and parking for 1,000 vehicles. The construction is expected to begin soon and once completed, YEIDA will lease out these units to companies. It is estimated that the buildings will be ready within two years of the commencement of construction. Designs have been prepared for these four-storey factories, which include 126 units of 60 sq m, 64 units of 90 sq m and 50 units of 120 sq m. The developer of the project will be selected through a tender soon. “The tenders will be floated this month. The factories will offer plug-and-play facility and all necessary amenities will be provided, enabling entrepreneurs to start their business immediately after taking up the lease,” said YEIDA CEO Arun Vir Singh.
