CMF Watch Pro 2 introduces innovative bezel swap function

CMF by Nothing is causing a stir with the imminent release of the Watch Pro 2. The new gadget, which is set to debut on July 8, turns heads with its unique interchangeable bezel system.

The brand showed off the feature a few hours ago in a teaser image, giving us a taste of the watch’s design. While the image doesn’t give away all the secrets, it has people talking and wondering how it could work. Interestingly, there’s no obvious way to attach the bezel from the outside, which has led to some creative theories.

Some people think magnets might be the answer, but after recently trying out the Xiaomi Watch S3 (which has a similar design), I’m betting on a different approach. Xiaomi’s watch uses a twist-to-unlock system—no visible fasteners needed. It’s a simple system that works very well. We’ll find out for sure in a few days, when CMF by Nothing officially unveils the Watch Pro 2.

This new watch is a far cry from its older sibling. The original Watch Pro was full of angles, with a square face and a chunky build. In contrast, the Watch Pro 2 has a round face with an elegant bezel and an aluminum alloy case. It’s a move that may appeal to those who prefer a more classic watch look.

Another cool addition is the rotating crown on the right side of the watch. This likely means it’s easier to navigate the watch’s features and menus.

A recent leak shared on X (the platform formerly known as Twitter) by The Nothing & CMF Fan Hub shows us the watch with a black bezel attached. This bezel gives the Watch Pro 2 a more angular, boxy look.

The original Watch Pro, priced at a wallet-friendly $49, raised the bar for affordable smartwatches. It packed a punch with a 1.96-inch AMOLED display, GPS, 110 sports modes, and the ability to make Bluetooth calls. Add to that water resistance and a battery that can last up to 13 days, and you’ve got yourself a pretty good deal.

While we still don’t know the full specs of the Watch Pro 2, the redesign and new features like the interchangeable bezel show that CMF by Nothing isn’t afraid to try new things. Hopefully, it’ll keep the price similar to the original model.

The July 8 event looks pretty interesting. In addition to the Watch Pro 2, we’ll also see the launch of the CMF Phone 1 and Buds Pro 2. It looks like CMF by Nothing is going to make a splash with several product lines.
