Oppo Reno 12 5G Pro, Oppo Reno 12 5G Key Specs, Colors, Design Revealed Ahead of India Launch

The Oppo Reno 12 5G and Oppo Reno 12 Pro 5G are scheduled to launch in India on July 12 at 12 PM (India time). The phone maker announced that the phones will be available via e-commerce site Flipkart and the Oppo India website. The design of the Indian models closely mirrors the Chinese and global models of the Reno 12 series. Both phones feature a vertically aligned triple rear camera setup housed in a slightly raised rectangular module on the top-left corner.

Oppo has announced that the standard Oppo Reno 12 5G will be available in three color variants: Astro Silver, Matte Brown, and Sunset Peach. Meanwhile, the Oppo Reno 12 Pro 5G will be offered in Space Brown and Sunset Gold color variants.

Oppo Reno 12 5G Pro, Oppo Reno 12 5G Specifications and Features

Initially launched in China in May and later made global last month, the company has now announced its India launch date. Oppo has also revealed the design, colour options, and key features of the Reno 12 series ahead of its official launch in India. Ahead of its official unveiling, the smartphone maker has revealed some key specifications of the lineup. The Oppo Reno 12 Pro will feature a quad-micro curved display protected by Corning Gorilla Glass Victus 2, while the standard Reno 12 will come with Gorilla Glass 7i protection. Both models will feature a 6.7-inch FHD+ 120Hz AMOLED display with 1.07 billion colors and a 10-bit panel.

These displays are designed to perform well in bright outdoor conditions, offering — according to the brand — HDR peak brightness of up to 1,200 nits.

The Oppo Reno 12 series 5G models will feature a 50-megapixel main sensor with optical image stabilization (OIS) and an 8-megapixel ultra-wide-angle lens. The standard Reno 12 will include a 2-megapixel macro camera as a third sensor, while the Pro version will feature a 50-megapixel telephoto camera offering 2x optical zoom and up to 20x digital zoom.

The Oppo Reno 12 5G and Reno 12 Pro 5G are expected to debut with the MediaTek Dimensity 7300-Energy chipset. The devices will support advanced artificial intelligence (AI) features, including AI Clear Face, AI Writer, AI Recording Summary, and AI Eraser 2.0. Both models will be equipped with a 5000mAh battery that will be complemented by 80W SuperVOOC fast charging.
