Motorola launches Razr 50 Ultra flip phone in India with Google Gemini support

Expanding its clamshell lineup, Motorola on Thursday launched the Razr 50 Ultra in India. A successor to the Razr 40 series launched last year, the new Motorola Razr 50 Ultra features generative AI features powered by Google Gemini and Moto ai, along with support for Google Photos even on the external display.

Motorola claims that the Razr 50 Ultra can withstand 6 lakh fold/unfold cycles.

In terms of the display, the Motorola Razr 50 Ultra features a large 4-inch LTPO pOLED display with a maximum brightness of 2400 nits and a resolution of 1272×1080. It is a 10-bit panel with a refresh rate of up to 165 Hz. The body screen is protected by Corning Gorilla Glass Victus.

The main 10-bit foldable display has a diagonal of 6.9 inches and has LTPO technology, a refresh rate of up to 165 Hz and a brightness of 3000 nits.

The Razr 50 Ultra runs on a 4,000mAh battery along with a 68W charger that will come in the box. It also supports 15W wireless charging and 5W reverse charging.

Motorola has used the Snapdragon 8s Gen 3 processor in the Razr 50 Ultra. It is available in a single variant with 12GB of LPDDR5X RAM and 512GB of UFS 4.0 storage. The company promises 3 OS updates and 4 years of security updates.

The phone also has an IPX8 rating. It can accommodate both a physical SIM card and an e-SIM.

The Razr 50 Ultra is equipped with a 50MP main camera, as well as a 50MP 2x telephoto lens. It has a 32MP front lens.

The Motorola Razr 50 Ultra is priced at Rs 99,999, but the box also includes Moto Buds+ TWS earphones.
