The Samsung Galaxy S24 Ultra deal doesn’t mention a time frame, but both foldable phone deals are labeled as “limited-time deals.” They’re likely part of the Amazon Prime Day buzz. Samsung Galaxy S24 Ultra

The Samsung Galaxy S24 Ultra is Samsung’s main flagship. It’s their best “normal” phone. So it’s the best, unless you start looking for specialty devices like Folds and the like. And it lives up to its reputation.

The design is gorgeous and solid, with a titanium frame and Gorilla Armor glass. The Galaxy S24 Ultra has impressive performance thanks to the powerful Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 processor and a generous 12GB of RAM. The Dynamic LTPO AMOLED 2X display is gorgeous, and the 120Hz refresh rate keeps things super smooth. Battery life is also excellent, and in our tests we never had any issues getting it through a full day. Not to mention it’s also one of the best camera phones out there.

Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 5

The Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 5 is for the more adventurous. It’s still one of the best foldable devices out there, and Samsung hasn’t compromised on anything. Of course, its main attraction is its foldable design. This device will essentially serve as a smartphone and a small tablet, adapting to your needs on the fly.

Folding mechanisms aside, this is also an exceptional phone. Both displays are gorgeous Dynamic AMOLED 2X panels with a 120Hz refresh rate. Not to mention that it’s one of the best multitasking smartphones out there, and it even supports the S Pen, just like the Galaxy S24 Ultra. The cameras are great, and the performance is simply amazing.

One of the main drawbacks of this smartphone is its price. At $1,920, it’s definitely too expensive for most people to consider. But the price becomes more bearable if you can get a $400 discount.

Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 5

Not everyone needs the most powerful smartphone or a huge tablet-like experience. Some of us prefer a smaller phone. As small phones die out, our next best option is a foldable phone, and the Galaxy Z Flip 5 is still one of the best.

This phone is still competent, despite costing less than the ones mentioned above. It still has the same Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 processor that we see in the Fold 5, and you get 8GB of RAM. The display is also beautiful, with the same Dynamic AMOLED 2X panel with a 120Hz refresh rate. The cameras are quite solid, the design is great, and it still has an IPX8 rating.

At just $850, that seems like a pretty good deal. And by the way, that’s true for every model. So it’ll cost you $850 if you choose any color, in any storage configuration. That means you might as well go for the 512GB version!

Should I wait for the Galaxy Z Fold 6 or Z Flip 6?

These foldable phones will likely be heavily discounted, as the Galaxy Z Fold 6 and Galaxy Z Flip 6 are set to launch on July 10. You can wait for the newer models, but they’ll be full-price for a while.

The current models are a better deal if you don’t mind sticking with one generation. They’re still very capable phones, and since Samsung has one of the best update promises, you should be happy with OS updates for another four years or so.
