Globant Launches AI Agents to Transform Software Development Lifecycle

Globant announced the integration of its proprietary AI agents into the software development lifecycle (SDLC). Building on over a decade of AI investment, Globant’s new AI agents are designed to drive efficiencies and outcomes across SDLC stages.

The new AI agents include human-assisted AI agents, backend prototyping AI agents, and code-fixing AI agents. These agents, supervised by humans, are designed to enhance Globant’s solutions and help various industries accelerate AI adoption. The integration aims to streamline development cycles by executing tasks autonomously.

AI agents will be used throughout the SDLC. The initial set of agents includes the AI Product Definition agent, which takes multiple inputs to break down the user stories that the development team needs to build the product. The AI Backend Prototyping agent enables users to quickly build the backend of a business application, regardless of technical expertise. The AI Application Design agent accelerates the design process and simplifies teamwork from simple text entry. The AI Test agent helps companies deliver high-quality software by developing comprehensive test plans and executing those tests. The AI Code Fixer agent fixes issues based on a contextual understanding of the existing codebase and the reported bug.

“To date, the power of AI productivity has largely been in the hands of individuals. Globant is disrupting the symbiotic relationship between AI and humans with a set of advanced AI agents. Augmented and supervised by humans, these AI agents will streamline operations, increase efficiency, and provide enterprise-level scalability. The potential productivity gains of AI agents rival Henry Ford’s assembly line breakthrough, which made manufacturing more efficient and scalable,” said Martín Migoya, Co-Founder and CEO of Globant.

Globant has been incorporating AI into its organization since 2013 to create best-in-class solutions that deliver real value to customers. Over the years, the company has launched the Data and AI Studio and remains at the forefront of innovation, constantly developing new AI agents. Almost 100% of Globant pods are AI certified, ensuring that all teams can apply the power of AI to each of their projects.

Diego Tartara, Chief Technology Officer at Globant, said: “We are transforming our approach to product development by leveraging advanced AI to bring out the best of both worlds: technology and humanity. The improvement in human-AI collaboration is poised to revolutionize business operations, leading to unprecedented productivity and growth across industries. Globant’s AI agents, combined with our suite of AI platforms, provide a distinct advantage to help organizations capitalize on these gains.”

Globant will continue to leverage groundbreaking technology to help drive digital transformation, according to the statement. The company’s ongoing commitment to AI integration aims to increase productivity and efficiency in software development across industries.
