Auro diversifies into F&B sector with HeyTea franchise

KUALA LUMPUR: Auro Holdings Bhd plans to diversify its operations in the food and beverage (F&B) sector, expanding its portfolio with the well-known HeyTea franchise.

The move is in line with Auro’s vision to improve financial performance through diversified revenue sources and capitalize on growing demand in the restaurant industry.

Executive director Tan Wye Chuan said the diversification into the foodservice sector was a strategic move to capitalise on the enormous opportunities the industry offers.

“The positive reception of our first stores underlines the potential of this venture.

“We are confident that our expansion will drive significant revenue growth and strengthen our market presence,” he said in a statement today.

Auro has entered into multiple franchise agreements with HK Heycha Ltd, which will enable it to operate HeyTea stores across Malaysia.

The first HeyTea store will open at The Exchange TRX Mall in December 2023, followed by more in key locations such as Mid Valley Megamall, Sunway Pyramid and 1 Utama.

Looking ahead, Auro plans to open more HeyTea stores in Peninsular Malaysia, including new outlets at Genting Highlands Premium Outlets, Sunway Velocity Mall in Kuala Lumpur and Gurney Plaza in Penang.

“These expansions are expected to contribute significantly to the company’s net profit and overall revenue growth,” the statement said. – Bernama
