Ferragni Companies to pay charity €1.2m in antitrust settlement

ROME (Reuters) – Companies controlled by Italian fashion influencer Chiara Ferragni have agreed to pay at least 1.2 million euros ($1.30 million) to a charity helping children over sales practices that may have misled consumers, the Italian competition authority (AGCM) said on Friday.

The watchdog found that the mention of the children’s charity I Bambini delle Fate on Ferragni Easter egg packaging could mislead shoppers into thinking they were supporting the charity.
