Eintracht Frankfurt CEO raises alarm over failed investor deals

The German football league could face serious consequences if the sale of broadcasting rights is delayed or unsuccessful, according to a senior league executive.

“If we are unable to enforce our prices, if there is a decline in broadcasting revenue, German clubs will have difficulty maintaining their status,” Axel Hellmann, CEO of Eintracht Frankfurt and a member of the powerful executive committee of the DFL Deutsche Fußball Liga GmbH, told reporters late on Wednesday.
