FedEx to Expand Philippines Gateway to Support E-Commerce Growth

FedEx Corporation has signed an agreement with Luzon International Premiere Airport Development (LIPAD), operator and manager of Clark International Airport, to expand and modernize its airport in Clark, Pampanga, Philippines.

Once completed, the new FedEx facility will be more than twice the size of the current facility and will have greater capacity to support growing demand for e-commerce, freight and cold chain shipments in the Asia Pacific region.

According to FedEx, this strategic expansion will transform Clark International Airport (CRK) into a leading global civil aviation logistics hub for international cargo. The planned addition of additional facilities, such as aprons and taxiways, will facilitate FedEx operations, enabling improved cargo handling and supporting growth in the logistics sector.

This expansion is a testament to our strong commitment to facilitating cross-border trade and optimizing the country’s supply chain capabilities.”

In October 2021, FedEx unveiled its Clark gateway to further support local businesses and e-commerce growth. Equipped with state-of-the-art technology, the 17,000-square-foot facility2 The facility can sort up to 9,000 packages per hour and enables FedEx to provide customers with more efficient and reliable service. Its dedicated cargo handling area spans 630 m2.
