EU Asks Amazon for More Information on Digital Services Act Compliance | WSAU News/Talk 550 AM 99.9 FM

BRUSSELS (Reuters) – The European Commission said on Friday it had asked Amazon to provide additional information on measures the U.S. e-commerce giant has taken to comply with its obligations under the Digital Services Act (DSA).

“In particular, Amazon is asked to provide detailed information on its compliance with the rules on transparency of recommendation systems (…),” the EU said in a statement.

Amazon said it must provide the requested information by July 26.

DST requires big tech companies to do more to combat illegal and harmful content on their platforms.
