NEW DELHI: FMCG stocks ended higher on Friday.

The companies that recorded the highest growth included LT Foods Ltd. (up 2.64%), Mrs. Bectors Food Specialities Ltd. (up 2.51%), Hatsun Agro Products Ltd. (up 2.28%), Britannia Industries Ltd. (up 2.23%), Dodla Dairy Ltd. (up 2.08%), Hindustan Unilever Ltd. (up 2.05%), Umang Dairies Ltd. (up 1.37%), Marico Ltd. (up 1.21%), Nestle India Ltd. (up 1.14%) and Zydus Wellness Ltd. (up 0.98%).

Top losers of the day included Heritage Foods Ltd. (down 2.62%), Emami Ltd. (down 1.99%), Sheetal Cool Products Ltd. (down 1.63%), ADF Foods Ltd. (down 1.18%), Bikaji Foods International Ltd. (down 1.11%), Parag Milk Foods Ltd. (down 1.08%), Honasa Consumer Ltd. (down 0.90%), Prataap Snacks Ltd. (down 0.75%), Gillette India Ltd. (down 0.35%) and Adani Wilmar Ltd. (down 0.30%).

The NSE Nifty50 index ended the day up 21.7 points at 24,323.85, while the 30-share BSE Sensex closed down 53.07 points at 79,996.6.

Oil And Natural Gas Corporation Ltd. (up 4.03%), State Bank of India (up 2.44%), Reliance Industries Ltd. (up 2.23%), Britannia Industries Ltd. (up 2.23%), Hindustan Unilever Ltd. (up 2.05%), Cipla Ltd. (up 1.97%), Divi’s Laboratories Ltd. (up 1.89%), Bajaj Auto Ltd. (up 1.85%), NTPC Ltd. (up 1.84%) and Apollo Hospitals Enterprise Ltd. (up 1.67%) were among the top gainers in the Nifty pack. On the other hand, HDFC Bank Ltd. (down 4.58%), Titan Company Ltd. (down 2.0%), Tata Steel Ltd. (down 0.9%), Mahindra & Mahindra Ltd. (down 0.77%), LTIMindtree Ltd. (down 0.7%), IndusInd Bank Ltd. (down 0.6%), UltraTech Cement Ltd. (down 0.6%), Tata Motors Ltd. (down 0.46%), Bajaj Finserv Ltd. (down 0.39%) and Tata Consultancy Services Ltd. (down 0.23%) ended in the red.
