Delivery Hero says it faces €400 million fine for violating antitrust rules

(Bloomberg) — Delivery Hero SE could be fined more than 400 million euros ($434 million) by the European Commission for alleged anti-competitive behavior, which will also increase the amount it has set aside in case of such an eventuality, the food-ordering company said in a statement Sunday.

The company said its decision to “significantly increase” the relevant provision already made of €186 million, as indicated in its 2023 annual report, followed a “recent informal meeting” with the European Commission.

“Delivery Hero intends to fully cooperate with the European Commission,” the Berlin-based company said.
