Seahawks finally show respect to Russell Wilson

NFL quarterback Russell Wilson will always be linked to the Seattle Seahawks. No matter how well or poorly he plays this season with the Pittsburgh Steelers.

Wilson recently took to Twitter, the social media platform now known as X, to show off a Seahawks jersey that his former team sent him:

“Seahawks, I appreciate you guys so much for sending me this,” Wilson said in the video.

Of course, there are so many amazing memories there, so it means the world to me that you’re sending this to me. I’m forever grateful.”

Wilson was known for wearing throwback jerseys, but never got the chance. He coached the franchise to its only Super Bowl before leaving.

The post sparked an interesting discussion among NFL fans.

“Russell Wilson, in my humble opinion, at his best (or most important) player in Seahawks history. QB of your Super Bowl team, the ONLY Super Bowl,” one user wrote on Twitter.

Not all Steelers fans liked what they saw either.

“Our quarterback is posting gifts from his former team. This is going to be awesome!” one Steelers fan sarcastically predicted.

“Russell Wilson will be playing for the Seahawks next year,” one Seahawks fan boldly predicted.

Only time will tell how Wilson fares in his first season with the Steelers.
