‘Central government will do everything in its power to promote pharma sector,’ says G. Kishan Reddy from Hyderabad

Hyderabad (Telangana) (India), July 7 (ANI): Coal and Mines Minister G. Kishan Reddy on Sunday addressed the valedictory function of the 73rd Indian Pharmaceutical Congress (IPC) in Hyderabad and assured that the pharmaceutical sector needs to be supported and the government will make all efforts to promote the sector in the coming days.
Speaking to ANI, Reddy said, “Hyderabad has contributed a lot to the pharmaceutical sector. India is exporting vaccines to various parts of the world. During the COVID-19 pandemic, India has not only vaccinated its 140 million population but also exported vaccines to African countries and several poor countries.”

The Union minister also said he congratulated the pharma sector, which helped in manufacturing vaccines during Covid. “The Modi government is all set to promote the pharma sector in the coming days. The pharma sector should be supported and in the coming days we will make all efforts to promote the sector,” Reddy said.
The Telangana BJP party president was the guest of honour at the IPC Expo held at the Hi-Tech Exhibition Centre Hall in Hitech City, Hyderabad.
On his official account, X Reddy posted about IPC Expo and said, “I attended and addressed the valedictory function of 73rd Indian Pharmaceutical Congress (IPC) in Hyderabad today.”
He further added, “IPC has always been a key event, bringing together thought leaders, industry experts and innovators. In my speech, I highlighted how India, under the leadership of Narendra Modi, is emerging as a global pharmaceutical hub. This year’s IPC theme, ‘The Role of Indian Pharma for Global Well-being’, highlights India’s significant contribution to global health.”
The Union Minister also urged the pharmaceutical industry stakeholders to strengthen Hyderabad’s brand as the pharmacy of the world. In another post, he said, “With institutions like the National Animal Resource Facility for Biomedical Research (NARFBR) set up by the Government of India and other pioneering universities, Hyderabad boasts of a robust research ecosystem that fosters biomedical innovations, aimed at developing India and Hyderabad as key players in the global biomedical industry.” (ANI)
