WWE Legend Announces Shocking Decision

WWE loses a legend as he retires.

Sixteen-time world champion John Cena announced his retirement from the sport in a moving speech at WWE’s Money in the Bank show in Toronto.

Cena said it was the perfect time to announce his decision.

Cena assured fans he will be there when WWE moves to Netflix next year.

“This is history; this is something new and I will be there,” he said, drawing a round of applause from the crowd.

Cena won’t be leaving immediately. Cena has said he will be competing in next year’s Royal Rumble, Elimination Chamber, and of course WrestleMania.

The crowd rewarded the wrestler with chants of “Thank you Cena.”

In an interview with USA Today, Cena explained that he will be “integrally” involved with the sports-entertainment league as it seeks to forge a new path without longtime chairman Vince McMahon, who is facing several lawsuits related to disturbing sexual harassment allegations.

“But when it comes to fighting in the ring, getting knocked down and getting beat up, there’s a time limit,” Cena said.

Cena made his WWE debut in 2002, although his first dominant trait was “rapping in a vulgar manner, earning the nickname ‘Doctor Thuganomics,'” according to livenowfox.com.

Price is currently 47 years old.
