Miu Miu, the brainchild of the enigmatic Miuccia Prada, continues to captivate the fashion world with its unique blend of luxury and playful subversion. As evidenced by recent sales growth, the brand’s influence extends beyond apparel, and its footwear collaboration with New Balance continues to generate excitement and sell-outs.

Earlier this year, Miu Miu and New Balance revamped the classic 530 with the 530SL, a “super lightweight” version. Now, a tantalizing glimpse of their next project has emerged: a captivating interpretation of the mule.

The brown “Cinnamon” hue, a hallmark of their original collaboration, makes a welcome return alongside a pristine white option. Both pairs retain the captivating combination of luxurious leather and practical cotton laces.

The defining feature, however, is the transformation of the 530 into a slip-on silhouette. The rear section has been removed and the insert has been carefully tailored to fit seamlessly into the mule’s design.

While official release details remain under wraps, the updated Miu Miu x New Balance 530 is set to launch in 2025. They’re expected to be available exclusively at Miu Miu boutiques and will likely retail for upwards of $1,000, in line with previous collaborations.
