Having trouble downloading Disney Plus that isn’t working? Try these fixes

How to Fix Disney Plus Error Code 24

Are you having trouble downloading content from Disney Plus? Here’s what to try if you’re having trouble downloading Disney Plus that’s not working.

The internet is a wonderful thing. But sometimes we can take it for granted. It’s only when the internet goes down in the middle of watching the latest episode of a series we’ve spent hours watching that we realize how important it is.

The good news is that you can download content from streaming services so you can watch it even if you don’t have an internet connection. For example, on Disney Plus, you can download Revenge of the Sith so you can watch Ewan McGregor say “Hello there” even if you don’t have an internet connection.

Sometimes, however, things can go wrong and you may find that Disney Plus won’t let you download any content at all. Here’s what you can try if you’re having trouble downloading Disney Plus that’s not working.

Disable Downloads over Wi-Fi Only to Fix Disney Plus Download Not Working Issues

Several users have had issues with downloads getting stuck in the Disney Plus app, preventing them from downloading paused content or other Disney Plus content. Many users have found that this issue can be resolved by disabling Download only over Wi-Fi option in the app settings. However, you should make sure it is turned on again to save your data.

  1. Open Disney+ application and log in to your account.
  2. Click on your Profile Icon.

Check your network connection

Another possible reason for Disney Plus download issues is that you don’t have a stable network connection. You need to be able to connect to the Disney Plus servers to download content.

Check your network connection by doing a quick network search. If it works as expected, the problem is probably elsewhere, but if you can’t do a network search, the problem is with your network.

Check Disney Plus Servers

The problem may also be on the other side. If the Disney Plus servers are down, you will not be able to download content, even if your network connection is fine. You can check the current reported status of the Disney Plus servers using websites such as downdetector.com.

Check your device memory if Disney Plus download not working

Another common reason why you can’t download Disney Plus content is that your device doesn’t have enough space. If there isn’t enough space to download the content, it may not start at all. You can check your device storage directly in the Disney Plus app.

  1. Open Disney+ application and log in.
  2. Click on your Profile icon in the lower right corner.

  • iOS 15.3 or newer for iPhones and iPads
  • Android 5.0 (Lollipop) operating system or newer for Android phones and tablets
  • Fire OS 5.0 operating system or later for Amazon Fire tablets
  • Windows 10 or newer for tablets and computers with Windows application

Restart your device

Another potential solution that may resolve Disney Plus download issues is to restart your device. Restarting your phone, tablet, or computer may be enough to get the Disney Plus app working properly again. Try restarting your device, then relaunching Disney Plus.

Turn off your VPN

Using a VPN can allow you to access content that is restricted to specific locations. However, a VPN can also cause problems when you try to download content from Disney Plus. Try disabling your VPN to see if that solves your problems.

Make sure you are not downloading files using too many devices

Disney Plus has a limit on the number of separate devices you can use to download content on the same account, which varies depending on the Disney Plus subscription you have. Disney Plus Standard and Premium Subscriptions allow you to download content in maximum quantity 10 different devices.

If you have already downloaded content on 10 devices using the same account, you will not be able to log into Disney Plus on a new device and download the content. You will need to delete all Disney Plus content from one of the other 10 devices before you can download anything to the new device.

If you use Disney Plus Standard with Ads The subscription will not allow you to download any content as this tier is streaming only.

Make sure you are not streaming on too many devices

There is also a limit to the number of devices you can stream to at the same time. This also varies depending on the type of Disney Plus subscription you have. In the case of Disney Plus Standard with Ads subscription and Disney Plus Standard subscription, you can stream to up to two devices at a time. If you are on Disney Plus Premium subscription, you can stream to up to four devices at the same time.

If you are streaming to the maximum number of devices allowed, you may find that you are unable to download content to an additional device while all of your allowed devices are streaming. You can try waiting until at least one of your remaining devices has finished streaming, then try downloading again.

Fixing Disney Plus Downloads

If you are having trouble downloading Disney Plus that is not working, then hopefully one of the solutions above helped. If you find other solutions that are helpful, let us know in the comments.

The ability to download content from Disney Plus can be very useful. It allows you to watch content even when you don’t have an internet connection or don’t want to pay for it, such as when you’re staying at a hotel. It’s also a good way to watch content at the same time as other devices with the same account are streaming, without exceeding the number of devices you can stream to with your subscription.

Downloading high-quality videos can take up a lot of disk space, though, so make sure you have enough free space before you start.
