Hertz strengthens leadership team with key executive appointments

ESTHERO, Florida., July 8, 2024 /PRNewswire/ — Hertz Global Holdings, Inc. (NASDAQ: HTZ) (“Hertz” or the “Company”), a leading global car rental company, today announced key appointments that will strengthen its leadership team and enhance the Company’s focus on driving profitability through operational excellence, customer service excellence, strategic fleet management, cost control and bonus revenue.

Sandeep Dube will join Hertz as executive vice president and chief commercial officer July 22, 2024AND Katherine Lee Martincurrently serving as interim general counsel at Hertz, will be appointed executive vice president, general counsel and corporate secretary, effective immediately.

Additionally, the following leaders joined the Hertz team this month: Henry Kuykendall as Executive Vice President, North American Operations; Greg can as Executive Vice President, Fleet Management; Mike Moore as executive vice president of technical operations. Each executive will report to the CEO of Hertz Gil West.

Sandeep DubeExecutive Vice President, Chief Commercial Officer, Dube will lead global commercial strategy and revenue generation for Hertz through an integrated, customer-centric approach, overseeing revenue management and pricing, corporate sales and strategic partnerships, customer experience, product development, loyalty, marketing and franchising. Dube has more than 25 years of experience leading transformational growth for companies, most recently serving as COO at Intuit Mailchimp. Prior to that, he was Chief Commercial Officer at Activision Blizzard and held executive positions at Delta Air Lines, including Senior Vice President, Revenue Management, led revenue, product strategy and commercial delivery, Senior Vice President, Digital, Loyalty, Lounges and Consumer Insights, and General Manager of Delta Vacations.

Katherine Lee MartinExecutive Vice President, General Counsel and Corporate Secretary, will continue to oversee Hertz’s global legal affairs, government affairs, and sustainability and social impact teams. Martin has served as interim general counsel and assistant corporate secretary for the company since April 2024after joining Hertz in May 2023 as Vice President, General Counsel. Prior to joining Hertz, she held senior positions at X Corp. and Twitter, where she oversaw the company’s global portfolio of highly complex litigation, regulatory and competition matters. Prior to joining Twitter, Martin spent more than a decade as an Assistant U.S. Attorney in the U.S. Department of Justice.

Henry KuykendallExecutive Vice President, North American Operations, will oversee the activities of car rental companies at and outside airports North America. Kuykendall previously spent 33 years at Delta Air Lines, where he held several key leadership roles focused on operations, customer service and sales, and developing best-in-class processes. He most recently served as senior vice president of Airport Operations, East, overseeing all airport operations at Boston Logan International Airport, Detroit Metropolitan Airport, LaGuardia Airport and John F. Kennedy International Airport. In this role, Kuykendall also oversaw Delta’s operations at 41 stations in the East and 137 smaller airport locations throughout the United States, encompassing more than 20,000 employees and contractors.

Greg canExecutive Vice President, Fleet Management, May will lead all aspects of Hertz fleet management, including fleet purchasing and strategy, vehicle analytics and remarketing. May has more than 35 years of experience in commercial aviation fleet and supply chain management and has held executive positions at Delta Air Lines, Northwest Airlines and United Airlines, among others. He also founded aircraft leasing company Q Aviation and launched Valkyrie BTO Aviation, a commercial aircraft investment firm for Blackstone, where he most recently served as president and CEO.

Mike MooreExecutive Vice President of Technical Operations, will lead all aspects of Hertz’s fleet maintenance operations. With more than 25 years of experience in fleet operations and maintenance management, Moore has experience overseeing operations and driving process improvements that reduce costs and improve bottom lines. He has held executive positions at Delta Air Lines, where he spent a decade in operations-focused roles of increasing responsibility, and at Northwest Airlines, among others. He most recently served as executive vice president of Spaceline Technical Operations for Virgin Galactic.
