AbbeyAutoline continues expansion with acquisition of Down Insurances – The Irish News

AbbeyAutoline has acquired the Down Insurances clients as part of a major expansion plan to strengthen its position as the largest insurance broker in the North.

This is the second acquisition made by AbbeyAutoline in a week, following the recent purchase of Lisnaskea-based Martin Carey Insurance.

These acquisitions see AbbeyAutoline expand its customer base and enhance its commercial insurance offering in the Northern Ireland market.

Since its inception in 2020, following the integration of Abbey Insurance and Autoline, in 2022 AbbeyAutoline also acquired the family business BMG Insurance.

Family-owned brokerage Down, based in Downpatrick, was founded in 1983 by Michael Kearney and is renowned for its commercial insurance expertise as well as a wide range of personal and medical insurance products.
