New Foldables, Smartwatches, and Everything Else We Can Expect from Samsung’s Announcement

Samsung Galaxy Unpacked is set to take place on July 10 in Paris, France. The company is expected to announce several new things during the event, including the Galaxy Z Fold, Galaxy Z Flip, Galaxy Watch, and the next-generation Galaxy Buds.

In addition, Samsung is also rumored to be unveiling its first portable ring — the Galaxy Ring.

Here’s everything we know so far about Samsung’s upcoming devices.

From what we know and from leaks and rumors, it appears that Samsung is going to announce a lot of new information at the Galaxy Unpacked event.

Samsung Galaxy Z Fold6 and Galaxy Z Flip6

Of course, Samsung’s event will focus around its next-generation foldable devices.

The company is expected to launch the Z Fold6 and Z Flip6 at the event.

We expect changes and improvements inspired by the Galaxy S24 series. For example, the new foldable smartphones are expected to be powered by the same — Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 chip — as the Galaxy S24 series. In addition, the Z Fold may also receive a Titanium version.

Apart from that, we don’t expect any major changes in terms of display.

The Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 6 is likely to feature a 7.6-inch internal and a 6.3-inch Dynamic AMOLED 2X display, both with a 120Hz refresh rate. It is expected to have 12GB of RAM and storage options ranging from 256GB to 1TB. The camera setup is also expected to remain unchanged with a 50MP main camera, a 10MP telephoto camera, and a 12MP ultra-wide-angle camera. Rumors of a 200MP main camera and a possible Ultra variant are still unconfirmed.

The Galaxy Z Flip 6 is also expected to retain the design of the previous generation. Samsung could slightly improve the hinge for durability. It is expected to have a 6.7-inch main display and a slightly larger 3.9-inch external display. It could come in two RAM variants (8GB and 12GB) with different Snapdragon chips, and could be upgraded to a 50MP main camera.

New Galaxy Watch

Samsung is also expected to announce a couple of smartwatches at the event. Most notably, the company is also expected to introduce a rugged version — the Galaxy Watch Ultra — alongside the Galaxy Watch 7.

The Galaxy Watch 7 is expected to retain the same design style as the Galaxy Watch 6.

It is speculated that Samsung will introduce a new olive green colour alongside the silver and gold versions.

Significant improvements are expected inside the device, including the use of the Exynos W1000 chipset that Samsung recently announced.

Additionally, rumors suggest that Samsung will expand its wearable lineup with a new Galaxy Watch Ultra that will compete with the Apple Watch Ultra. This model will likely feature a durable design with a round bezel in a rounded square titanium case, a sapphire glass display, and up to 3,000 nits of brightness.

Ultra may be larger – 47 mm.

Galaxy Ring

The most anticipated announcement will probably be the Galaxy Ring, which Samsung unveiled at its Galaxy Unpacked event in January alongside the Galaxy S24 series.

Even though Samsung did not reveal much information about the smart ring at the time, leaks and rumors did reveal a few facts about the unannounced device.

To launch, we expect the Galaxy Ring to be available in three colors: black, silver, and gold with a glossy finish.

In addition, the Galaxy Ring is expected to offer a range of health and fitness features, as well as AI-based functions that are intended to improve the user experience.

Based on the leaks, Samsung Galaxy Ring for health and fitness metrics, including sleep, activity, heart rate, and HRV. Unlike the Galaxy Watch’s continuous monitoring of heart and AFib data, the ring stands out with a battery life that lasts five to nine days — surpassing the typical four-day charge of the Oura Ring.

Galaxy Buds3 Pro

Samsung is also expected to announce its next-generation TWS earphones. Leaks suggest Samsung plans to go the Apple route this time around. Recently, images have surfaced suggesting a semi-transparent case with the buds featuring a stem design.
