NFPA Global Solutions Makes First Acquisition, Adding Dyne Fire Protection Labs

Dyne Fire Protection Labs joins NFPA Global Solutions portfolio to support regulatory and standards compliance.

QUINCY, Mass. — The National Fire Protection Association (NFPA) recently announced the formation of a separate, wholly owned subsidiary, NFPA Global Solutions, which will offer regulatory compliance solutions, digital products and consulting services through acquisitions and new business development.

NFPA Global Solutions recently announced the acquisition of Dyne Fire Protection Labs, an independent testing laboratory that helps ensure compliance with key fire protection regulations and standards.

“The nature and complexity of security continues to evolve, creating a need for more advanced solutions to reduce risk. NFPA customers have long asked NFPA for additional products to help them do their jobs,” NFPA President and CEO Jim Pauley said in the association’s announcement.

“The formation of NFPA Global Solutions and the acquisition of Dyne Fire Protection Labs will provide industry professionals with valuable tools and resources, expanding the scope and reach of NFPA’s offerings to help it fulfill its mission,” he said.

According to the announcement, this is NFPA Global Solutions’ first acquisition and is “part of a strategic plan to achieve a greater impact on safety worldwide.”

“The addition of Dyne Fire Protection Labs to the NFPA Global Solutions family allows us to provide utilities with high-quality compliance testing technology that is compliant with NFPA codes and standards,” said NFPA President Carlos Correia in the announcement.

“As we grow our portfolio, we will add other services that are essential to enhancing security and provide great value to companies of all sizes and industries,” he says.
