Young adults learned about renewable energy sources, watched a tower-climbing demonstration, saw giant solar cells, dent-free car paint repair, car wrapping and detailing, and heard how sunflowers can be turned into fuel to power a car. All of this was part of SUNY Morrisville’s day of exploration during the Automotive & Clean Energy Summer Institute. The event gave participants a chance to explore possibilities and emerging technologies in automotive, diesel, agricultural technology, and renewable energy. The session included walking tours, visits to multiple labs, technical demonstrations, and a meet-and-greet with industry professionals. The demonstrations took place in the school’s state-of-the-art Center for Agricultural and Clean Energy Technologies (ACET) and automotive labs and facilities.
