Menswear brand UNTUCKit uses RetailNext analytics platform in stores – Retail Technology Innovation Hub

By partnering with RetailNext, the company used its store analytics platform to understand traffic in each of its brick-and-mortar stores.

With RetailNext’s Aurora IoT sensor, shoppers are detected ten times per second, allowing for accurate tracking of foot traffic and real-time shopper movement data.

The solution integrates with existing UNTUCKit store systems, including the retail system, workforce management system and promotional calendars, to deliver actionable insights and AI-powered recommendations based on customer traffic patterns and forecasts.

UNTUCKit can now identify and predict peak traffic periods. This allows staff rotations to be optimized to reflect foot traffic patterns, increasing staffing during the busiest “power hours” in stores.

It also allocates resources to non-customer service tasks, such as inventory checks, during off-peak hours. UNTUCKit was also able to identify changes in opening hours at some of its locations.

This made it possible to compare store performance results and KPIs.

This meant UNTUCKit could identify and reward the best performing locations and teams, as well as make data-driven decisions, generated by recommendations on the RetailNext platform, to improve the performance of any underperforming locations

Gary Whittemore, Sales Director, EMEA & APAC, RetailNext, comments: “By unlocking store data and leveraging insights from in-store assets, UNTUCKit has been able to optimise its operations, enabling it to deliver a better customer experience that not only drives conversions but also keeps customers coming back time and time again – the hallmark of successful retail.”
