How the Warriors’ new veteran signings can improve the team’s play

The Golden State Warriors had a busy offseason, which included trading franchise icon Klay Thompson and releasing 12-time All-Star Chris Paul. However, Golden State managed to recoup and potentially surpass those losses by acquiring Kyle Anderson, De’Anthony Melton and Buddy Hield, all of whom are poised to be solid players.

Here’s how each of the new veterans can elevate the Warriors:

Kyle Anderson | Power Forward | 6’9″, 230 pounds

Anderson’s versatility on defense (7-foot-2 arm span) and ability to coordinate the offense make him not only a perfect fit for the Warriors, but their most valuable offseason asset.

Additionally, Anderson, who averaged 6.4 PPG and 4.2 APG last season, is extremely valuable to Golden State, earning just $9 million per year.

The Warriors’ offense relies on off-ball movement and screens to create open positions. Anderson, as he has shown, his basketball intelligence is a key component and catalyst in that system.
