NEW DELHI: Energy stocks ended Monday’s session in the red.

Karma Energy Ltd. (up 5.01%), Energy Development Company Ltd. (up 4.99%), Orient Green Power Company Ltd. (up 4.97%), Kalpataru Projects International Ltd. (up 3.64%), KPI Green Energy Ltd. (up 2.99%), NLC India Ltd. (up 2.98%), CESC Ltd. (up 2.42%), India Power Corporation Ltd. (up 2.19%), Indowind Energy Ltd. (up 2.10%) and PTC India Ltd. (up 1.02%) were among the top gainers.

Neueon Towers Ltd. (down 5.18%), RattanIndia Power Ltd. (down 3.60%), Inox Wind Energy Ltd. (down 3.53%), Voltamp Transformers Ltd. (down 3.31%), Jyoti Structures Ltd. (down 2.98%), Indo Tech Transformers Ltd. (down 2.65%), Reliance Power Ltd. (down 2.42%), Torrent Power Ltd. (down 2.40%), Power and Instrumentation(Gujarat) Ltd. (down 1.96%) and Gujarat Industries Power Company Ltd. (down 1.90%) were among the top losers of the day.

The NSE Nifty50 index ended the day down 3.3 points at 24,320.55, while the 30-share BSE Sensex closed down 36.22 points at 79,960.38.

Oil And Natural Gas Corporation Ltd. (up 3.8%), ITC Ltd. (up 2.3%), HDFC Life Insurance Company Ltd. (up 2.24%), Hindustan Unilever Ltd. (up 1.58%), Tata Consumer Products Ltd. (up 1.18%), Nestle India Ltd. (up 1.14%), Wipro Ltd. (up 1.14%), HCL Technologies Ltd. (up 0.93%), Tata Motors Ltd. (up 0.91%) and Infosys Ltd. (up 0.87%) were among the top gainers in the Nifty pack. On the other hand, Divi’s Laboratories Ltd. (down 3.58%), Titan Company Ltd. (down 3.47%), Bharat Petroleum Corporation Ltd. (down 2.34%), Shriram Finance Ltd. (down 2.02%), Adani Ports & Special Economic Zone Ltd. (down 1.68%), JSW Steel Ltd. (down 1.56%), Cipla Ltd. (down 1.52%), Tata Steel Ltd. (down 1.4%), Asian Paints Ltd. (down 1.29%) and Bajaj Auto Ltd. (down 1.11%) ended in the red.
