Enphase Energy begins shipping IQ8 commercial microinverters from Texas

Enphase Energy, Inc., a global energy technology company and the world’s leading supplier of microinverter-based solar and battery systems, announced the first shipments of its IQ8™ microinverters manufactured in the United States. The Inflation Reduction Act enabled Enphase Energy to manufacture in the United States, supporting jobs and growing the nation’s renewable energy economy.

The IQ8P-3P™ three-phase commercial microinverters are designed to support 208V commercial installations for small and medium-sized businesses. Enphase’s solution simplifies the design and installation process, improves energy harvesting with longer uptime, provides more detailed monitoring than similar solutions, and offers industry-leading safety with a safer AC architecture. The IQ8P-3P microinverters are compatible with a wide range of solar panels up to 640W, supporting projects now and in the future. The IQ8 commercial microinverters were originally introduced in North America last year and manufactured outside the United States. Innovative design, high-quality manufacturing processes, and low failure rates allow Enphase to offer an industry-leading 25-year warranty on its microinverters.

“We are excited to build systems for our small commercial customers with Enphase commercial microinverters sourced from U.S. manufacturing facilities,” said Gailan Wensil-Strow, director of solar operations at American Design and Build LTD. “Not only does Enphase offer a high-quality solution, but our customers also love knowing they are supporting the American economy.”

“We already love the Enphase commercial solution for its security and reliability attributes,” said Tony Capucille, CEO of EightTwenty. “It’s easy to set up, includes high-quality monitoring and ongoing support, and now it’s built right here in the United States. We’re proud to offer Enphase products.”

Enphase Commercial® Energy System™ also includes the new IQ® Commercial Gateway 2 that can be connected to the internet to enable over-the-air updates and to Enphase® Application Monitoring Platform. The IQ Gateway and IQ Microinverters make it easy for companies, asset managers and installers to monitor energy and maintain individual panels, including Fleet View for monitoring and portfolio management. Enphase Kiosk software publicly displays real-time system performance, allowing users to showcase their on-site renewable energy production. The microinverters also feature Enphase Burst Mode technology, allowing systems to start production earlier and stop later in the day than other systems.

“Enphase’s durable, efficient power systems offer project owners the opportunity to reduce their dependence on fossil fuels with American-made products,” said Jeremy Jones, Managing Partner at Prism Power. “We are proud to offer the IQ8 commercial microinverters that will provide optimal power generation and system durability for our projects.”

“We are pleased to begin shipping our IQ8 commercial microinverters from our manufacturing facility in Texas,” said Ron Swenson, senior vice president of operations at Enphase Energy. “Expanding our U.S.-shipped product roster was a key goal to help provide excellent service with faster delivery times to local customers in our core market.”

Distributors in the United States, Canada, and Mexico can order the IQ8 commercial microinverter today. To celebrate the launch, Enphase is hosting an event at its manufacturing facility in Arlington, Texas, on Thursday, July 11, 2024. Enphase encourages all installers and distributors interested in learning more about its commercial solution to reserve a spot on the event website.
