Reliance Jio Launches New Gadget: Price, Features, and Other Details

Reliance Jio has launched a new tracking device called JioTag Air. The successor to last year’s JioTag, it comes with a number of new features. Unlike JioTag, which only worked with the JioThings app, JioTag Air is also compatible with Apple’s Find My feature. Here are the details

JioTag Air Features
JioTag Air is a sleek asset tracker that lets you find and track your valuables like keys, ID cards, wallets, handbags, luggage, pets, and other such items that are prone to being lost. It works with both iOS and Android devices. It is compatible with iPhones running iOS 14 and above and Android 9 and above.

It comes with Bluetooth version 5.3 for wireless tracking of devices. The device has a built-in speaker and can play a loud sound of 90-120 db to locate lost items. As mentioned above, it works with both Apple Find My network and JioThings app. However, the user can only select one app at a time.

Android users can pair with the JioThings app and track the tagged item in the app. For Apple users, when paired with the Apple Find My app, JioTag Air sends out continuous Bluetooth signals that can be detected by nearby devices on the Find My network, such as iPhones, iPads, and Macs. These devices send the JioTag Air’s location to iCloud. Apple users can share tagged items in the Apple Find My app with other Apple users. They can also go to the Apple Find My app and locate the item connected to the JioAirTag on a map. Enabling Lost Mode will automatically send notifications to the paired Apple device when a lost item is detected on the Apple Find My network.
JioTag Air Price and Availability
The JioTag Air is listed on the company’s website with an MSRP of Rs 2,999. However, it can be purchased for Rs 1,499. Blue, Red, and Grey are the colour variants of the device. Some of the banking offers listed on the website include cashback on payments through Paytm, CredUPI, and select credit cards.

JioAir Tag can also be purchased via JioMart, Reliance Digital and Amazon.
