iOS 17.6 developer beta 3 is available alongside visionOS 1.3 and more

Just one day after releasing iOS 18 developer beta 3 with new dark icons, dynamic color wallpaper, and more, Apple has unveiled the third developer beta in its next beta cycle: iOS 17.6. Beta 3 updates are also available for visionOS 1.3, macOS 14.6, and more.

iOS 17.6 is set to be the last major update to iOS 17 before its successor, iOS 18, launches in September.

Unlike iOS 18, the iOS 17.6 update has so far included a minimal amount of new features. One notable exception is the upcoming Catch Up feature for major sporting events in the TV app. Other than that, iOS 17.6 seems to be focused on security, performance improvements, and bug fixes.

Also released today are beta 3 updates to visionOS 1.3, watchOS 10.6, iPadOS, tvOS 17.6, and macOS 14.6.

If you signed up for the developer beta, the update should be available for download in the Software Update section on your device.
