Kelso to review possible updates to housing regulations

Kelso City Council announced it will hold a special meeting Tuesday evening, which will be a joint event with the city’s planning commission.

The meeting will be held at 6:00 p.m. in the Kelso City Council Chambers.

Most council members plan to attend the meeting to learn more about the latest proposed changes to the Uniform Development Code, which will update the rules for residential buildings in Kelso. The changes to the development code will still need to be approved at the council meeting.

Unified development codes integrate different types of land use and development regulations into one place in the municipal code, according to the nonprofit Municipal Research and Services Center.
