Stock Market Sectors: Stock Market Update: Fertilizer Stocks Rise, Sensex Rising

NEW DELHI: Shares of fertiliser companies were trading higher at 11:10 am on Tuesday. Madras Fertilizers Ltd. (up 5.53%), National Fertilizers Ltd. (up 3.30%), Rashtriya Chemicals & Fertilizers Ltd. (up 2.37%), Zuari Agro Chemicals Ltd. (up 2.29%), Mangalore Chemicals & Fertilizers Ltd. (up 2.22%), Rama Phosphates Ltd. (up 2.15%), Gujarat State Fertilizer & Chemicals Ltd. (up 1.45%), Khaitan Chemicals & Fertilizers Ltd. (up 1.28%), Deepak Fertilisers & Petrochemicals Corporation Ltd. (up 1.17%) and Paradeep Phosphates Ltd. (up 1.11%) were among the top gainers.

Top losers included Chambal Fertilisers & Chemicals Ltd. (down 2.52%), The Fertilisers and Chemicals Travancore Ltd. (down 1.51%), Sikko Industries Ltd. (down 1.27%), Krishana Phoschem Ltd. (down 0.76%), Agro Phos India Ltd. (down 0.71%), Aries Agro Ltd. (down 0.46%) and Gujarat Narmada Valley Fertilizers & Chemicals Ltd. (down 0.18%).

The NSE Nifty50 index was up 60.16 points at 24,380.7, while the 30-share BSE Sensex was up 252.58 points at 80,212.96 around 11:10 am.

Maruti Suzuki India Ltd. (up 5.66%), ITC Ltd. (up 1.55%), Larsen & Toubro Ltd. (up 1.17%), Titan Company Ltd. (up 1.12%), Cipla Ltd. (up 1.06%), Mahindra & Mahindra Ltd. (up 0.9%), Hero MotoCorp Ltd. (up 0.89%), Divi’s Laboratories Ltd. (up 0.81%), HCL Technologies Ltd. (up 0.79%) and Adani Ports & Special Economic Zone Ltd. (up 0.71%) were among the top gainers in the Nifty pack.

On the other hand, Oil And Natural Gas Corporation Ltd. (down 0.94%), Kotak Mahindra Bank Ltd. (down 0.84%), Dr. Reddy’s Laboratories Ltd. (down 0.82%), UltraTech Cement Ltd. (down 0.78%), Reliance Industries Ltd. (down 0.75%), Apollo Hospitals Enterprise Ltd. (down 0.71%), IndusInd Bank Ltd. (down 0.64%), Bharat Petroleum Corporation Ltd. (down 0.62%), NTPC Ltd. (down 0.48%) and Tech Mahindra Ltd. (down 0.36%) were trading in the red.
