Sandisk Ultra Dual Drive Go is the USB drive you always have with you, even for iPhones

Sandisk is a household name when it comes to storage solutions for all devices. However, as market trends change, the company is also changing its product offerings, especially since the iPhone 15 series now supports USB-C charging. The Dual Drive Go is the latest attempt to please people who use all kinds of devices. If you have an iPhone, this drive works. If you use a Windows PC or iPad, this drive works. It works if you have an Android phone, too. You could call it versatile, since it works on most platforms that people use for their devices.

And the best thing about the Dual Drive Go is that it won’t even break the bank. Sounds like a good deal? Here’s a closer look at the Sandisk Ultra Dual Drive Go, which starts at under Rs 1,000 and offers external storage for all your mobile devices.

Design

Sandisk offers the Ultra Dual Drive Go in a variety of bright colors, including blue, green, peach, and more. The rotating design allows the brand to include dual USB 3.1 and USB C ports on either side of the drive, hence the name dual and Go, since it can be used on the go.

The drive itself weighs just 20 grams, meaning it can fit into the smallest of jeans pockets. The small frame doesn’t give away its durability, as it’s drop-proof, which is crucial for storage devices, as without this support you could lose all your data. The overall build quality justifies its use and shows what a pocket rocket it really is.

What does it offer?

Have you ever wanted to transfer files from your computer to your smartphone but had to use cables to do so? In such a situation, the Sandisk Ultra Dual Drive Go is a real boon because on the one hand you have a PC-type connection for importing files, and on the other you can quickly transfer them to your Android or iPhone.

As we mentioned, this USB drive works on Android, iOS, iPadOS, macOS, Windows, and even Linux. A one-stop solution for your storage needs. Now that the iPhone 15 comes with USB C, as do iPads and Macs, this is the perfect USB drive for your setup.

How it’s working

Sandisk claims that the Dual Drive Go offers read speeds of 150MB/s, which should be plenty fast for transferring files over USB 3.1. Our synthetic tests using tools like CrystalDiskMark gave us read speeds of over 300MB/s, which is twice the claimed speed, but it also depends on the average results from those test tools.

During actual file transfers between my phone and my computer, and my computer and my iPad, the Dual Drive Go was able to transfer 1GB of mixed files in under 45 seconds, which is impressive overall. These tests may vary depending on the size of the files being transferred between devices, but the Dual Drive Go proved its worth and should handle larger transfers without a problem.
