Amazon Achieves 100% Renewable Energy Goal 7 Years Early

Amazon has enabled more than 80 renewable energy projects in the Asia-Pacific region to date, including 50 projects in India and projects in countries such as Australia, China, Indonesia, Japan, New Zealand, Singapore, and South Korea. In Japan, Amazon announces our first onshore wind farm and utility-scale standalone solar project—a 33MW wind project located in Rokkasho, Aomori Prefecture, and a 9.5MW solar farm located in Kudamatsu, Yamaguchi Prefecture.Amazon is the largest corporate buyer in Japan, with a total of 20 projects to date. The projects include 14 rooftop solar installations on Amazon’s local buildings and six offsite wind and solar projects.
