Goodwin Announces New Additions to Antitrust and Competition Practice

Global law firm Goodwin today announced that David Cross and Mary Kaiser have joined its antitrust and competition practice group as partners based in its Washington, D.C. office.

“Over the past several years, we have significantly expanded our global antitrust platform and expanded our reach into new industries ripe for regulation and enforcement,” said Caroline Bullerjahn, co-chair of Goodwin’s Complex Litigation and Dispute Resolution practice. “David and Mary are distinguished litigators with extensive experience and proven track records in antitrust litigation, particularly in areas where Goodwin has strong competencies—intellectual property, technology and M&A. Their collective expertise will be a significant asset to the firm’s diverse client base, especially as antitrust regulators increasingly seek new theories of harm.”

David Cross is a litigator who represents domestic and international companies in litigation, including class actions. He specializes in antitrust and competition law, intellectual property law, and commercial litigation. Cross focuses on antitrust enforcement, including the intersection of competition law and emerging technologies such as AI tools, online marketplaces, and the monetization of big data. He represents corporate clients as both plaintiffs and defendants in federal and state courts, arbitrations, and government investigations, and advises on a variety of antitrust compliance issues, such as algorithmic pricing tools and cooperating with competitors.

Dobrywin provides the ideal platform to continue to grow our practice and provide the highest level of client service,” said Cross. “They have established a true culture of camaraderie and collaboration that attracts and retains the best talent and puts clients first. We are thrilled to be a part of it.”

Mary Kaiser represents domestic and international companies in antitrust litigation, including price fixing, monopolization, group boycotts, and refusal to deal, and handles antitrust counterclaims in intellectual property cases. Kaiser also counsels clients on a wide range of antitrust compliance issues, including pricing strategies and the Robinson-Patman Act. Her experience spans industries including media, software, and consumer products.
