MoCI lowers service charges for various sectors

The Ministry of Trade and Industry announced the implementation of Ministerial Decision No. (60) for the year 2024, issued by HE Sheikh Mohammed bin Hamad bin Qassim Al-Thani, Minister of Trade and Industry, reducing MOCI service fees in the trade, industry, business development and consumer protection sectors, by up to 90 percent for certain services, starting from Thursday. This decision is in line with MOCI’s strategy to improve the investment environment and develop the trade, industry and business development sectors in Qatar, in line with the objectives of the Third National Development Strategy 2024-2030, achieving sustainable economic growth, economic diversification and developing the business environment in pursuit of the Qatar National Vision 2030. The Ministry of Trade and Industry assessed and established the reduced service fees after conducting a thorough analysis of the requirements of the business environment and the needs of investors. The reduced service fees include business registration, trade permits, register of trade agents, services for trade companies, consulting services, auditors, quality licenses, patent services, protection of industrial designs and industrial models, and industrial development services. This decision is expected to create an ideal environment for local and foreign investors, strengthening the position of the State of Qatar as an attractive investment destination, and will have a positive and significant impact on services related to the establishment of companies, issuance of commercial documents and issuance of licenses, and encourage and support the creation of new projects and enterprises in Qatar.
