Agoric Unveils Orchestration for Next-Generation Web3 Apps

San Francisco, United States / California, July 10, 2024, Chainwire

Revolutionizing Multi-Blockchain Coordination with Seamless User Interactions

Agoric, a layer 1 blockchain designed to abstract the chain, today announced the launch of its Orchestration API. With this new set of tools, developers can build next-generation Web3 applications that seamlessly orchestrate digital assets and services across multiple blockchain ecosystems. As a result, users can now enjoy single-click interactions that can deploy their liquidity and access multiple blockchains in a unified way.

With over $2 trillion in liquidity fragmented across blockchains and their ecosystems (Ethereum, Solana, L2, L3, application chains, sovereign rollups, subnets, and more), users are too often left with complex, tedious Web3 experiences. Many have attempted to address this fragmentation by launching bridges and interoperability solutions, but the experience remains limited due to the lack of programmability in existing solutions. Even simple use cases, such as paying with assets on one blockchain for services on another, require multiple user actions and signatures, leaving crypto assets trapped in isolated silos.

Orchestration is a game changer for multi-chain applications:

  • For usersorchestration enables true chain abstraction: experiences that cross chains have the simplicity they require.
  • For programmers, orchestration offers cross-chain programmability with a multi-block runtime and simple JavaScript APIs for managing accounts and assets on remote chains.
  • For the Web3 ecosystemOrchestration enables composability across protocols, allowing liquidity to be unlocked independently of the native chain.

Commenting on the launch of the API, Dean Tribble, CEO of Agoric Systems, said, “We are excited to offer a platform that enables rich, single-click user experiences that unlock new economic opportunities across multiple chains. Currently, even simple tasks on Web3 require too many actions and too much expertise from users. Agoric Orchestration offers developers a unique technology to take their applications to the next generation of Web3.”

The Calypso cross-chain trading terminal will leverage Agoric Orchestration to launch its staking widget. With a single click, users can stake on any IBC-enabled chain from almost any starter token (ETH, SOL, etc.). Typically, this cross-chain staking process might require a user to go through six separate steps, including multiple signatures, but with Agoric Orchestration, it’s just one step.

Commenting on integration, John DiBernardi, Co-Founder of Calypso, said, “When it comes to executing actions across multiple blockchains, Agoric Orchestration is simply unmatched. We’ve managed to simplify time-consuming and incredibly frustrating DeFi tasks into a single click, something that both new and experienced DeFi users will appreciate.”

Creators ready for multi-channel orchestration can apply for Agoric’s Early Access Program, which offers personalized technical support, financial incentives, and early access to new features. Apply today at agoric.com/eap.
