Kith and Birkenstock Hit London Braided Releases in 2 New Colorways – Footwear News

Last fall, Kith and Birkenstock introduced a new version of the London clog, with suede braids running throughout the upper. The three colorways sold out quickly, but are now being restocked with two new editions.

The Kith x Birkenstock London Braided is set to release this week in “Lilac Ash” and “Birch” versions. The former is more colorful, with a faded suede upper matched by a darker hue on the leather laces and mudguard. Completing the clog is an ash outsole. “Birch” is more in line with previous colorways, as a monochromatic range of beige is used throughout the upper and outsole.

Each pair of London shoes is hand-braided and features a buckle strap embossed with the Kith logo. When it comes to sizing, Kith recommends ordering a full size smaller than what you normally wear.

Kith and Birkenstock have been collaborating since 2019, but none of their releases have fetched a higher resale price than the London Braided. Pairs have sold for more than $600 on the resale market, with the black edition with a sheepskin insole fetching the highest prices.

In the two new versions, however, the use of sheepskin has been abandoned, which makes this piece more suitable for summer.

The Kith x Birkenstock London Braided “Lilac Ash” and “Birch” are available in a drawing that is now accepting entries on the Kith app. Limited quantities will also be available on Friday, July 12 on the Kith website, in stores, and in the app. Pricing has been set at $295.
