BenQ Launches RD280U Monitor for Programmers and Developers

BenQ has unveiled another innovative monitor in the RD series, the RD280U—the first-ever monitor series specifically designed for programmers and developers. The RD280U is designed with BenQ’s unique Fine-Coated panel, which features advanced anti-glare and anti-reflective properties tailored for coding, offering developers an optimal and flexible coding environment.

The RD280U monitor features a 28.2-inch 3:2 display with 4K+ resolution, displaying more lines of code vertically. It includes a KVM switch, multi-stream transport, and BenQ’s productivity software suite. The proprietary encoding mode improves text clarity for better code differentiation in various lighting conditions. In addition, the monitor has Coding HotKey to achieve a focused workflow, ideal for experienced programmers, complemented by MoonHalo Backlight to improve lighting.

MoonHalo Backlight aims to improve the working environment for late night coding by creating an immersive atmosphere and reducing eye strain. It also provides additional lighting in dimly lit areas and reduces glare during the day. Overall, it is more than just a backlight, it is a revolutionary tool for developer workspaces

The RD series focuses on comfort with Night Hours Protection, offering minimum brightness, an eye protection filter, dark room optimization and Brightness Intelligence Gen2 for automatic ambient light adjustment. Display Pilot 2 software also improves user comfort by allowing adjustment of functions without OSD. It includes tools such as Desktop Partition, Software Dimming, Application Mode, Direct Search, Focus, Circadian Mode, HiDPI and Shortcuts.
