ANZ unveils first Cross-Sector Impact Award

This award recognises cross-sector partnerships that demonstrate excellence in managing collaborations between organisations working on social or environmental issues. The winning partnership will receive professional development opportunities at PBA up to a value of $6,000 (including GST).

The ANZ-PBA Partnering Award was established to recognise effective cross-sector partnership practice in Australia. ANZ and PBA believe that good partnership practice can lead to transformative change and lasting relationships, ultimately delivering long-term benefits to the Australian community.

Participants will be judged based on principles developed by PBA, including: mutual benefit, equality, openness and courage.

ANZ has a strong heritage of developing and sustaining cross-sector partnerships, including a 21-year, ongoing commitment to Saver Plus. Developed in partnership with the Brotherhood of St Laurence, the program combines financial education and tailored savings to build life-changing savings habits.

ANZ Director of Social Impact and Community, Janet Liu, said: “The ANZ-PBA Award aims to raise the profile and understanding of good practice in cross-sector partnerships in Australia that address social or environmental issues.”

“I hope that through this award we can expand community understanding of the value of cross-sector partnerships and what is required to effectively manage impactful partnerships.”

“ANZ is very proud of the Saver Plus program and the partnerships that have been built to enable it to grow and we hope that through the ANZ-PBA Partnering Award we can support partnerships like this one,” she said.

PBA Associate, Julie Mundy said: “The principles on which participants will be judged – mutual benefit, equality, openness and courage – have been established based on practitioners’ extensive experience of what makes a partnership effective.”

Applications for the ANZ-PBA Partnering Award are now open and will close on Friday 16th August. The winner will be announced in late October.
