JKTPO Organizes E-Commerce Implementation Campaign in Kishtwar

KISHTWAR, JULY 11: As part of e-commerce implementation initiative of Jammu and Kashmir Trade Promotion Organisation (JKTPO), a workshop was organised in collaboration with Government e-Marketplace (GeM) and Open Network for Digital Commerce (ONDC) at Kishtwar.

This initiative is part of JKTPO’s ongoing efforts to economically empower local merchants by bringing them into the digital economy.

The event was organised under the guidelines of Vikramjit Singh, Commissioner, Industries and Commerce, J&K, and under the chairmanship of Khalid Jahangir, Managing Director, JKTPO, in collaboration with the Kishtwar District Administration headed by Deputy Commissioner, Dr. Devansh Yadav.

The workshop was designed to provide comprehensive training to local retailers on how to effectively leverage e-commerce platforms to expand their business. Participants received practical tips on how to create and manage online storefronts, navigate digital marketplaces, and leverage online tools to reach a wider customer base.

Earlier, Banu Partap Singh, Vice President of Sales at MyStore, along with Prafull, Manager at MyStore, conducted virtual training sessions for participants interested in registering as sellers on the platform.

During the session, Javed Seikh, Business Facilitator at GeM, highlighted the numerous benefits of joining e-commerce platforms and explained the entire onboarding process in detail.

JKTPO has tied up with Kishtwar District Administration officials to organise workshops, playing a key role in identifying suitable vendors by collaborating with various other departments like Agriculture, Horticulture, Animal Husbandry etc.

The administration aims to support the development of small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs), create jobs and stimulate economic development at grassroots level.

JKTPO plans to continue these efforts by organising similar workshops in other districts of Jammu and Kashmir, ensuring that as many vendors as possible benefit from the digital economy and become economically independent.
