VW wins bid to dismiss $750 million auto parts monopoly lawsuit

Volkswagen AG dismissed a $750 million antitrust lawsuit accusing the German automaker of maintaining a monopoly on auto parts suppliers.

Judge Rodney Gilstrap of the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Texas on Thursday accepted a report from an investigating judge who recommended granting VW’s motion to dismiss the case brought by supplier group Prevent USA Corp. because it would be more appropriate to pursue the claims in Germany.
