NEW DELHI: Sugar stocks were trading lower at 11:11 am on Monday, with top gainers including Mawana Sugars Ltd. (up 2.89%), KCP Sugar & Industries Corporation Ltd. (up 2.22%), Kothari Sugars & Chemicals Ltd. (up 1.03%), Balrampur Chini Mills Ltd. (up 0.63%), Rajshree Sugars & Chemicals Ltd. (up 0.55%), Triveni Engineering & Industries Ltd. (up 0.54%), Uttam Sugar Mills Ltd. (up 0.18%) and DCM Shriram Industries Ltd. (up 0.17%).

Top losers included Simbhaoli Sugars Ltd. (down 5.03%), KM Sugar Mills Ltd. (down 3.20%), Ponni Sugars(Erode) Ltd. (down 2.91%), Dalmia Bharat Sugar and Industries Ltd. (down 2.26%), Bajaj Hindusthan Sugar Ltd. (down 1.99%), Rana Sugars Ltd. (down 1.85%), Ugar Sugar Works Ltd. (down 1.77%), Shree Renuka Sugars Ltd. (down 1.45%), Sakthi Sugars Ltd. (down 1.15%) and Vishwaraj Sugar Industries Ltd. (down 1.01%).

The NSE Nifty50 index was up 85.8 points at 24,587.95, while the 30-share BSE Sensex was up 197.97 points at 80,717.31 around 11:11 am.

Top gainers on the Nifty included Shriram Finance Ltd. (up 2.32%), Oil And Natural Gas Corporation Ltd. (up 2.22%), NTPC Ltd. (up 1.95%), HCL Technologies Ltd. (up 1.92%), State Bank of India (up 1.66%), Bajaj Auto Ltd. (up 1.53%), Bharat Petroleum Corporation Ltd. (up 1.19%), Dr. Reddy’s Laboratories Ltd. (up 1.16%), UltraTech Cement Ltd. (up 1.15%) and Sun Pharmaceutical Industries Ltd. (up 0.97%).

On the other hand, Grasim Industries Ltd. (down 1.29%), Asian Paints Ltd. (down 1.15%), LTIMindtree Ltd. (down 0.85%), Tata Steel Ltd. (down 0.68%), Reliance Industries Ltd. (down 0.5%), Bajaj Finserv Ltd. (down 0.33%), Titan Company Ltd. (down 0.29%), Larsen & Toubro Ltd. (down 0.21%), HDFC Bank Ltd. (down 0.13%) and JSW Steel Ltd. (down 0.09%) were trading in the red.
