Stock Market Sectors: Stock Market Update: Fertilizer Stocks Fall, Market Rising

NEW DELHI: Fertiliser stocks ended higher on Monday with Paradeep Phosphates Ltd. up 2.40 per cent, Rashtriya Chemicals & Fertilizers Ltd. up 1.94 per cent, Southern Petrochemicals Industries Corporation Ltd. up 1.74 per cent, National Fertilizers Ltd. up 1.36 per cent, Deepak Fertilisers & Petrochemicals Corporation Ltd. up 1.07 per cent, Chambal Fertilisers & Chemicals Ltd. up 0.55 per cent, Gujarat State Fertilizer & Chemicals Ltd. up 0.20 per cent and Rama Phosphates Ltd. up 0.10 per cent leading gainers.

Mangalore Chemicals & Fertilizers Ltd. (down 2.12%), Nagarjuna Fertilizers and Chemicals Ltd. (down 2.02%), Aries Agro Ltd. (down 1.86%), Khaitan Chemicals & Fertilizers Ltd. (down 1.78%), Krishana Phoschem Ltd. (down 1.71%), Madhya Bharat Agro Products Ltd. (down 1.17%), Agro Phos India Ltd. (down 0.84%), Gujarat Narmada Valley Fertilizers & Chemicals Ltd. (down 0.76%), The Fertilisers and Chemicals Travancore Ltd. (down 0.55%) and Coromandel International Ltd. (down 0.28%) were among the top losers of the day.

The NSE Nifty50 index ended the day up 84.55 points at 24,586.7, while the 30-share BSE Sensex closed 145.52 points higher at 80,664.86.

Oil And Natural Gas Corporation Ltd. (up 5.02%), SBI Life Insurance Company Ltd. (up 3.24%), Shriram Finance Ltd. (up 3.15%), Bajaj Auto Ltd. (up 2.58%), State Bank of India (up 2.52%), NTPC Ltd. (up 2.26%), UltraTech Cement Ltd. (up 2.0%), Apollo Hospitals Enterprise Ltd. (up 1.32%), Hindalco Industries Ltd. (up 1.17%) and Dr. Reddy’s Laboratories Ltd. (up 1.13%) were among the top gainers on the Nifty.

On the other hand, LTIMindtree Ltd. (down 1.7%), Asian Paints Ltd. (down 1.43%), Grasim Industries Ltd. (down 1.41%), Tata Steel Ltd. (down 1.15%), Axis Bank Ltd. (down 0.75%), Tech Mahindra Ltd. (down 0.4%), Tata Consultancy Services Ltd. (down 0.36%), Tata Consumer Products Ltd. (down 0.3%), JSW Steel Ltd. (down 0.29%) and Infosys Ltd. (down 0.28%) ended the day on a negative note.
